as:

- A group circle warm up to attune to practicing with others
- Brief, effective verbal communication & synchronizing of breath with partner stretching
- Acrobatic formations in groups of three as the spotter, base & stacker
- Therapeutic Flying as the base (supporting your partner) & then the flyer (being supported)
- Thai Yoga Massage for relaxation & balanced giving & receiving

Focus is on safety & good communication throughout. No partner needed! Come alone & meet new friends, or bring a partner. The only pre-requisites are a sense of humor & a willingness to surprise yourself! RSVPs are appreciated (even if they are the day-of) but not necessary!

Asana & Meditation: Dana
Wednesday 5:32 PM - 6:45 PM

The Sanskrit word for meditation is dhyana, which is the state we experience when our minds are still. Meditation is a practice that involves turning our attention inside. A practice of releasing ourselves from our total absorption in the swirling world around us in order to experience who we are beyond these fluctuations of the mind & senses; sat chit ananda ~ being, consciousness & bliss. Meditation increases brain communication & function, reduces the harmful effects of stress, improves cardiovascular health, & generates greater happiness & relaxation! An all levels class, novice & experienced practitioners alike will enjoy the remembrance & celebration of the peace inside! Class begins with an asana & pranayama practice designed to prepare the body for a concluding 15-20 minute meditation. Instruction will include asana, meditation techniques, japa (mantra repetition), pranayama, as well as favorite stories & fables from Swami Muktananda, an Indian teacher in the Shambhava lineage. Chairs are always available & warmly invited to be used during meditation! Dana: 970-819-1216 or email.

Ashtanga Yoga: Intermediate

The Ashtanga form is a physical & athletic practice that follows a prescribed set of asanas linked together by breath. Focus is on sun salutations, a standing sequence, a sitting series (the primary series) & a closing practice (backbends & inversions). The Ashtanga form will prepare your legs, core & mind for whatever season & activities you would like to enjoy more. Previous experience of yoga is recommended however no prior experience of Asthanga is necessary. This class is offered occasionally as a series, a workshop, or other one-time events.
