Yin & Restorative Yoga class
Friday, March 23rd from 7-8pm
Come stretch out after the days activities in a cozy, warm and nurturing environment! This all levels class is the perfect compliment to our Yang activities and lifestyle. Most yoga practiced in the US is considered ‘Yang’ - an active practice focused on exercise & muscular contraction, an obvious balance to sedentary work so that our muscles do not weaken. In Yin Yoga, each floor posture is gently held for 3-5 minutes in order to stretch & rehabilitate the connective tissues of the hips & lower spine. This helps joints to restore & maintain flexibility. Restorative postures & Yin Yoga at the end of the day can help to slow the body & mind down, preparing for rejuvenating sleep & sustained energy levels the next day. Read more about the benefits of Yin & Restorative yoga here (link to my site). It is optimal to have finished eating dinner between 5 and 6pm (earlier is better). Taught by Alli.
Mellow Kundalini Movement & Mantra Meditation class
Saturday, Mar. 24th from 4:30 - 6pm
This all levels class will include the practice a Kriya (set of movements) intended to wind down from the day, and relieve stress and tension. Light stretching will follow to off-set the effects of the kriya's movements and of your winter activities. Learn about a Kundalini yoga mantra, it's translation, meaning and benefits. Then practice the mantra in a meditation. Final relaxation will integrate the many benefits of our practice. Taught by Alli.
Kundalini Yoga
Sunday, Mar. 25th from 8:30- 9:30am
Experience a different type of yoga! Explore combinations of repetitive movements along with breath, mudra (yoga of the hands), focused gaze points, chakra awareness, intention, meditation, & mantra/sound current (internal & spoken words). This yoga tends to spark and advance personal transformation, glandular & emotional balance, and recondition the nervous system to respond vs. react. Clear the mind, relieve stress, allow awareness & peace in order to awaken & live your ultimate potential. These classes are for all body types, ages & levels of experience! Taught by Alli.
