Alli Brook, RYT

Alli began exploring yoga in her early teens. She studied Hatha yoga at Yandara Yoga Institute, & Kundalini with Golden Bridge Yoga. Her classes blend Iyengar alignment, Vinyasa flow & Kundalini inspiration to support the
navigation of life changes with grace & ease. As part-owner of the Yoga Center of Steamboat she aspires for yogic integrity to infuse business. She enjoys exploring community as a member of the Board of Directors for Yoga Teachers of Colorado. Her private practice of Theta Healing & Healing Touch energy work (for humans & animals) blends intuitive guidance with many other

Nina Darlington, E-RYT 500

Nina is one of the owners of the Yoga Center of Steamboat and has been teaching for 15 years. She is a graduate of the American Viniyoga Institute, a certified Ananda Yoga and Meditation Instructor and holds certificates in Yoga Teaching and Yoga Therapy from Svastha Yoga of Chennai, India. Nina has done advanced training in yoga therapy, including yoga for cancer survivors.  She continues her studies with A.G. Mohan, Indra Mohan and Ganesh Mohan of Chennai, India. Patty Zimmer, RYT

Patty is a certified Chopra Center Yoga Instructor and partner in the Yoga Center of Steamboat.  Inspired by the yoga style of Kate Potter, she teaches all levels and intermediate Hatha Vinyasa Flow, creating a sequence of movements that both invigorate and calm the body and mind. Alex is certified through the Ashtanga Yoga School of Montreal. She took her first yoga class in Steamboat over 7 years ago and since then has traveled the world with a yoga mat in her backpack. Anne van Kleeck, PhD

Anne became a certified Ananda Yoga instructor in 2008, & teaches at the Park Cities Yoga in Dallas as well as substituting at the Yoga Center of Steamboat during the three months of the year she lives in Steamboat. She was first introduced to yoga in the mid-1970s, & began a regular practice eight years ago. Her yoga teacher at the Dallas Yoga Center is an advanced Iyengar instructor. Yoga is an important balance to her position as a professor & researcher in the School of Behavioral & Brain Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she studies children’s language acquisition & their preschool foundations for later literacy development. Beth Boyd

Beth, whose spiritual name is Sandhya Saraswati, is a disciple and teacher of the Satyananda Yoga tradition. In 2005, she spent 6 months living amongst her Guru, Paramahamsa Niranjananda Saraswati, at the Bihar School of Yoga, in Munger, India.  Beth learned yoga as a way of life, and aspires to live and share this message. Since her first experience in India, she has completed her Yogic Studies 1 and 2 courses, as well as become an accredited Satyananda Yoga teacher. Her passion is to share the restorative practice of Yoga Nidra Meditation with her community.  She has recorded a couple of CD's to help guide you on your path of restoration. Sandhya is a well rounded practitioner of the healing arts, and has been giving massage for 11 years, integrating many modalities into her work. She also offers watsu (water-shiatsu or aquatic body work) as well as private yoga instruction. Beth Wood, M.A., L.P,C.

Beth is a retired licensed psychotherapist who has turned her energies to the study and practice of yoga.  She is a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher and has pursued advanced training at Kripalu, Svasta Yoga and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. Britny Andrew

Britny grew up in Aurora, CO and is a newcomer to the Steamboat area. Before yoga, she studied Health & Exercise Science at Colorado State University where she explored exercise prescription and health promotion. Her expertise and passion for wellness then converged with the bliss of yoga in 2008. Fascinated by the numerous healing benefits and inspired by the journey that one travels inside each asana (posture), Britny was moved to learn more. In 2009 she completed the Hot Yoga Intensive Teacher Training with CorePower Yoga in Denver and later went on to study Power Yoga. Britny strives to encourage her students’ learning to come from within; empowering them with the knowledge of anatomy and dynamics of posture while encouraging self conviction. Ellie McAtee, RYT

Ellie is entering her 15th year in the Yampa Valley, and is a wife and mother of two (plus four dogs). She started studying yoga in 1999 while pregnant with her daughter, and knows she will be a student for the rest of her life. As a Kripalu graduate she hopes to return for her 500-hour training modules in 2011. She also enjoys traveling and continuing to train with both national and international yogi's. Her studies have given her the skills and perspective to accomplish slowing down. Ellie’s classes promote the inquiry to awakening the prana in order to honor the wisdom of the body and work according to its limits and strengths. Jeanne is a certified yoga instructor from the Shoshoni School, emphasizing traditional Hatha Yoga. She teaches throughout the region specializing in arthritis therapy education and enhanced balance for seniors as part of the VNA Aging Well for 50 and Better Program. Karen Goodman

Karen received her 200-hour yoga certification through the Marianne Wells Alliance School in Costa Rica and has been practicing varied forms of yoga for the past ten years. She is also a trained Mindful Life Yoga for Kids teacher which blends two of her loves - teaching children and yoga. Karen has been lucky enough to travel to far reaches of the globe and always finds her mat to be a safe and familiar place. Kriyadhara (Carrie Nelson), RYT 500

Kriyadhara Saraswati (Carrie Nelson) has been imbibing and teaching yoga in the Satyananda (Bihar) tradition for 13 years.  Her learnings have led her to New Zealand, Australia and to India to study with living masters of the Satyananda Saraswati yoga lineage.  She recently traveled to India with her two young children and husband to receive Jignasu Sannyasa from her Guru, Paramahansa Niranjanananda.  She strongly believes in the power of the children and they are the truest livers of yoga. Mandy Leonhardt, RYT

Mandy has been studying yoga since 1996 & is a certified Kripalu yoga instructor. Nicole Idzahl

Nicole is a trained Dancer in Classical Ballet, Modern, and West African dance. She has been performing since the age of four, and since 2001 has shared her love of dance with students of various ages and abilities. Pamela Turner, MSPT

Pamela is a Principal Educator for Polestar Pilates and holds a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She has worked as a PT and Pilates teacher in a variety of fitness and rehabilitation settings over the past 10 years, including orthopedic physical therapy clinics, whole wellness centers, and fitness centers. She holds certifications in the Gyrotonic Expansion System and Polestar Pilates Rehabilitation Curriculum. Paula Begay, RYT, CMT, LMT

Sarah Braat, RMT, NCTMB

Sarah has been studying & practicing Qigong for 10 years. She studied Qigong Healing & Qigong instruction at the Body Energy Center with Damaris Jarboux & has also studied with James MacRitchie, Daisy Lee, Michael Lomax & Madame Wang. She recently studied in China with Richard Leirer, Master Gu Shining & Master Jiang Fei. She is a member of the National Qigong Association & is nationally certified as a Qigong Instructor and Qigong Clinical Practitioner. Wendy McMahon

Wendy moved to Steamboat with her family from the US Virgin Islands, where she owned and operated the Zen Retreat Wellness Center.  Wendy is a graduate of the OM Center of NYC and trained with Cyndi Lee, Sarah Trelease and Joe Miller.  She also studied at the Temple of Kriya Yoga where she developed her yoga practice into a lifestyle.  Wendy offers private yoga therapy, teaches Iyengar yoga and focuses on alignment and biomechanical breakdown of poses, restorative yoga, vinyasa flow and partner yoga.  She has experience in many massage modalities but specializes primarily in Neuromuscular therapy and Thai massage.
