Portion of proceeds from donation drops for the month goes to a local non profit organization.

We will be rotating organizations month to month with a goal of bringing more awareness of the cause and openness to our community.

Routt County Search and Rescue

We are a group of volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in any type of weather. We are sent out on rescues for injured or ill recreationalists. We are also called on searches for people who are completely lost, or for those who have become disoriented and just need some help and directions to get back to their car.

All Routt County Search and Rescue (RCSAR) services are provided FREE of charge. The majority of our funding comes from donations. You can help by clicking the Donate button below.

Routt County Search & Rescue (RCSAR) was incorporated in 1968 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, under the jurisdiction of the State of Colorado and the Routt County Sheriff’s Department. Our mission is:

  • to maintain an active group of volunteers who are trained and equipped for mountain search and rescue

  • to promote safety in mountain recreation

  • to assist anywhere in emergencies where first aid, search and rescue services are needed
